We have a number of different species of Stingray in the Rio Agua Boa. Though a few are caught by our fly fishing guests (usually accidently) they are not considered as a quarry species, however they are dangerous and great care must be taken when wading in the shallow water around the sand bars.
The pain from the sting is most excruciating and can last for a number of days; so always look before wading.
